Project

Development of a mechanistic proof-of-concept to improve chemical toxicity evaluation for aquatic populations in a multi-stress context.

Environmental risk assessment informs policies to ensure adequate protection of ecosystems. However, these policies do not account for genetic variation nor for multistress conditions. This project focusses on using molecular technologies to study natural populations under multistress conditions develop adverse outcome pathways frameworks to demonstrate how we can start to incorporate genetic variation and multistress conditions into environmental risk assessment.
