Project

Neurophysiological relationship between sound intensity perception and hypophonic speech production in Parkinson's disease: unraveling the role of primary auditory perception, gating and attention.

The aim of this proposal is to assess the role of primary auditory perception in hypophonic speech production in Parkinson’s disease (PD). 50 PD patients and 50 normal control subjects will be auditorily and neurophysiologically tested. The effect of gating and attention on speech perception and production will be studied.
