Children’s (mal)adaptive pain behaviours in context: A functional-cognitive perspective

Through a functional-cognitive approach, this project aims to (1) identify the key antecedents and consequences that give rise to and maintain children’s pain-related behaviour, (2) investigate the impact of an important subset of antecedents (pain-related rules) on children’s pain-related behaviour and functioning, and (3) examine how children’s pain-related behaviour can be influenced through changes in the context.
