Project

Development of an accurate, real-time fringe projection system for high dynamic range 3D measurements of semi-reflective parts

In order to reduce the influence of background illumination and noise on the measurement uncertainty in fringe projection, investigation of using collimated light will be carried out based on a customized single-view fringe projection system built in-house at MaPS. A set of phase-stepped sinusoidal fringes and binary coded fringes will be projected onto the surface of the measured object and the distorted images are captured by the camera. Another research point in this task is to add additional freedom of control movement of the fringe projector so that the influence of lighting and background can be investigated and reduced.
