Toxicology Innovative Learning For Europe (R-12994)

According to European Commission (EU Action Plan: 'Towards Zero Pollution for Air, Water and Soil', 2021), climate change, environmental pollution, biodiversity loss and an unsustainable use of natural resources pose multiple risks to human, animal and ecosystem health and are the 4 main environmental challenges to tackle. To build a healthy planet for all, it is essential to better monitor, report, prevent and remedy air, water, soil and consumer products pollution. Toxicologists and ecotoxicologists with strong skills are needed to fulfil the ambitious objectives of this Action Plan with a special focus on the evaluation of toxicants. Therefore, an increasing demand for high- qualified toxicologists and ecotoxicologists is needed. The current project was built by a consortium of 7 higher education institutes and 3 research centres and aims to support Toxicology and Ecotoxicology teaching via the development of innovative and free educational resources in the context of current hot topics in (eco)toxicology in relation with job market needs.
