Fast-response Electrically heated catalytic reactor technology for CO2 reDUCTion (e-CODUCT) (e-CODUCT)

No existing technologies allow simultaneous CO2 and H2S reduction. Today the main challenges for CO2 conversion reside in the composition of the streams containing other acid gases (e.g., containing sulphur) and the economic and environmental performances of the reactors. e-CODUCT will address these challenges by electrifying a simultaneous chemical conversion of acid gas components (CO2 and H2S) into platform molecule CO and marketable SX. e-CODUCT will provide a new technology for two-step acid gas valorisation via i) conversion of CO2 and H2S into COS in a fixed bed reactor, and ii) COS conversion into CO and SX using an electrothermal fluidised bed (ETFB) reactor
