Grounded running (running without a flight phase) as exercise on prescription in overweight persons

Research into exercise therapies for overweight and obese individuals has shown that high-intense activities with low musculoskeletal load are necessary for an efficient exercise programme. As walking (even at a brisk pace) is inefficient because of its moderate intensity, this project aims to introduce grounded running (a high-intensity running style with low musculoskeletal load) to the clinically relevant population.
