Project

Assessment of the fertilising properties and environmental impact of biobased materials via the cycling of carbon and nitrogen.

Both in field trials and controlled experimental conditions, bio-based fertilisers are assessed for their agronomic properties (such as nitrogen release and plant uptake) and environmental impacts (such as carbon respiration/sequestration, nitrogen leaching). These products are compared to one another and also to synthetic fertilisers to gauge alternative fertilising/soil amending solutions
