Clinical presentation and diagnosis

Book Contribution - Chapter

Chronic pancreatitis (CP)is the endpoint of a variety of underlying disorders and has a variable disease course. It has no single pathognomonic sign. Consequently, diagnosing CP is challenging, but many symptoms and signs are frequently seen and can guide the clinician. Thorough anamnesis (including medical history) and imaging are essential for the diagnosis.
