Replacement and extension of an extractor for fat(-soluble compounds) from agro-food matrices

The requested equipment (Universal Extractor E800) is a replacement and an extension of the current equipment (Tecator Soxtex HT2 system). With the Universal Extractor, it is possible to perform classical Soxhlet extractions, which are requested when crude fat content is determined in food and feed samples. However, with this equipment, it is also possible to extract in different ways fat(soluble compounds). It will allow us to use a whole range of different solvents, to perform extractions at different temperatures, resulting in a very broad application potential of the equipment, not only towards the type of used extraction, but as well as towards the matrix used.
