SIRT3 levels modulate procoagulant platelet formation

Our objective is to demonstrate that platelet SIRT3 levels impact procoagulant platelet formation.  We defined two aims for this project: 1) Demonstrate the effect of SIRT3 on procoagulant platelet formation and 2) Analyze whether obesity in mice results in reduced platelet SIRT3 and increased procoagulant platelet formation.
