Research Group

Main organisation:Marketing & Strategy
Lifecycle:1 Oct 2009 →  Today
Organisation profile:

Our research is focused on open innovation strategies. In the past, we had a narrow research focus on alliance networks and their impact on innovation performance. In recent years the focus has been broadened as a result of changing trends in innovation and entrepreneurship research. In this respect, we have a leading edge  research about open innovation in Europe, resulting in a number of publications in leading international journals. We are a small and dedicated team working together with a selected group of research partners in Europe, the US and China.
In the next years we will strengthen the position of the group by continuous efforts to improve and extend research, by a better exposure among researchers worldwide, and  by developing exposure among interested business communities.

We are currently speeding up research about (external) corporate entrepreneurship and open innovation. Therefore, we are allying with researchers in international networks. We are currently working together with UC Berkeley, University of St-Gallen, the National University of Singapore, etc.... We have a research project with the  Zhejiang University (Hangzhou-China)  about "open innovation and R&D globalisation".

We also work in close collaboration with medium sized and large companies in the area of cooperative strategies, open innovation, and innovation management. This leads to the development of application oriented research, teaching cases and management tools.
