The LICT Center bundles the complementary expertise of (electronic) engineers, computer scientists, sociologists and law experts all active in the area of ICT, being it hardware, software, or related legal and social aspects.
The research activities of the center can be classified in 8 research lines.

The different research lines come together in cross-technology themes like “Green ICT”, “Big Data” and “Internet-of-Things” and find their application in domains like "Health, Sports and Ambient Assisted Living", “Smart Environments (Buildings, Cities, Industry, ...)”, “Media & Content”, “Transport, Logistics & Automotive”, "Learning" and "Agriculture & Food".
