Open air horticulture

Organisation profile:The unit open air horticulture focuses on a broad palette of crops, among which cabbages, root vegetables, fruit vegetables and all specialities that are regionally cultivated. Improvement of variety choice, cultivation techniques and plantprotection are standard in our research program. We focus on sustainable use of water and nutriënts, the development of innovative productionsystems and the introduction of precision farming techniques in horticulture.
