Analyte collection for analysis of liquids

A device for collecting a target analyte from a body of liquid such as water includes an inlet for introducing liquid from the body of liquid into the device and an outlet for removing liquid from the device. A diffusion module connected to the inlet and to the outlet includes at least one cell for collecting target material from liquid flowing between the inlet and the outlet. A flow meter can measure the flux of liquid within the device. The device includes a communication module comprising an input for receiving signals from the flow meter and a transmitter for transmitting the signals received from the input to an external unit, for monitoring the flux of liquid through the diffusion module.
