Systems based on 5-bromo-7-azaindole derivatives as future solid emitters

The present invention relates to a family of compounds derived from 5-bromo-7-azaindole, to which alkyl chains are incorporated in one of the nitrogen atoms to render the compounds soluble in organic solvents, and to which 4-(diphenylamino)phenylboronic acid derivatives are incorporated in position 5. These structural modifications increase the emission of the derivative in the solid state. The incorporation of aldehyde and 2-cyanobut-2-enoic acid derivatives in position 3 makes the compounds easier to anchor in different systems. Owing to this feature, these compounds can be used for designing luminescent materials in the solid state for detection purposes, biomedical uses, solid state lighting and in optoelectronic devices.
