Alexithymia interpersonal functioning and depression: a study in a psychiatric population

By means of content analysis of interview narratives and of narratives elicited by free response tasks (TAT, EMT) and by means of self-report questionnaires we study whether alexithymia in psychiatric patiënts is connected to a specific pattern of interpsonal functioning. Alexithymia is assessed in amultimethod way and we check for alternative explanations.
