The ASSIGNMENT is part of the BELAIR research of the PROGRAM. This aims at the development of a Belgian super test site, on which focused earth observation data and in-situ measurement data are collected for the Belgian and international research community and that can serve as a calibration and validation site for new AO missions, data and products.

The thematic site BELAIR LITORA site (coastal and environmental research) and this ASSIGNMENT aim at collecting field data for research into whether, how and to what extent (the combination of) remote sensing data can be used for a spatially explicit quantitative mapping of grassland traits and conservation status.
