Chair Empowerment of underprivileged elderly

This Chair aims to promote research about elderly in our society with special attention for those who experience financial difficulties. We will obtain more evidence based data on psycho-social aspects affecting the elderly (e.g., loneliness). Grounded in the vision of empowerment we will stimulate a more positive image of older persons and enhance social solidarity in our society. Therefore a partnership between science, practice and the target group is indispensable. This will be achieved through the concept of ‘Empowering Academic Collaborative Center’.
