Continued provision of an affordable medium-parametric cell analysis solution at the KU Leuven Flow Cytometry core facility

The KU Leuven Flow Cytometry core facility is a state-of-the-art service facility for cellular analyses, cell sorting, single cell capture, and secretomics. The applying consortium wishes to address aging equipment and measures for general equipment protection to assure continued and uninterrupted access to the available technologies. (1) The facility possesses two highly-frequented cytometers that are well beyond lifetime, have gradually lost several functionalities, and are therefore due for replacement. The requested equipment concerns a 4-laser flow cytometer to assure affordable access to this technology for >/= 10 years, a shared demand of the facility’s user base. (2) The facility is equipped with high-tech equipment and the protection of this equipment with uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) is a prerequisite for undisturbed facility operation. (3) Lastly, the facility will benefit from small laboratory items related to sample handling for analysis and cell sorting such as a pipettes.
