Ferroelectric liquid crystals on micro and nano-structured electrodes
The behaviour of ferroelectric liquid crystals on micro and nano-structured electrodes will be investigated. This is important because in future generations of LCOS based microdisplays, the dimensions of the pixels become smaller and smaller. With a focused ion beam machine the small electrodes will be fabricated on glass substrates.
