Financial Markets and new processing following terrorist attacks

Using a new event study technique and an extensive database of terrorist attacks, we propose to analyze news processing of financial markets following terrorist attacks. The purpose is to see how markets react to different attacks, which characteristics of these attacks drive the impact and to analyze how the news of a terrorist attack is processed by the financial markets.
