General and maladaptive traits as predictors of managerial performance and derailment: examining a broader trait spectrum, curvilinear relationships and trait-triggers

The validity of general and maladptive traits to predict managerial performance and derailment will be examined. Special attention will be given to non-linear relationships between personality traits and performance criteria. Trigge conditions will be examined in lab studies. This research should contribute to our knowledge on the impact of personality on work performance.
