Holistic approach to sexual violence in Belgium: Belgian centers sexual violence

  lnternational is believed that it is desirable to accommodate victims of sexual violence holistic and multidisciplinary. This means that the police and judicial response must be accompanied by a medical and psychosocial aspect and that each of these components are matched up. Research has shown that this is the best guarantee for a positive outcome on each of the areas and for the quality of care, faster recovery of the victim and the prevention of further victimization or re-commit. Both the WHO and other leading international health and international magazines have issued guidelines and advice about the central role of the health sector in the holistic approach to sexual violence both preventive and curative level and in close cooperation with the police and prosecutor.
