Interconnections between visual experience, information processing, and the brain

This research program is focused on the study of visuo-perceptual (object) structure, its mediation by attention and expectation, and the brain processes that give rise to all this. Our approach focuses on macroscopic aspects of brain dynamics, such as whole-head traveling wave activity; structural and functional connectivity networks, and eye-movement-related brain activity. We are using mainly EEG recording, but also brain stimulation and engage in computational modeling of brain function, in particular cross-frequency coupling, and strucure, i.e. evolving brain structural networks.
