Meiotic restitution in microspores of higher plants

A Petunia library of dTph1 insertion mutant that has been deep sequenced will be used to screen for 2n pollen production using size DNA-content correlation. Mapping and gene identification will be done in collaboration with Prof. Tom Gertats at Plant Genetics, Tadboud University Nijmegen. Misexpression of identified genes will be done in collaboration with Prof. Geert Angenon, VUB.
