Participatory Design: a key to sustainability and support for the Einstein Telescope (R-15773)
The Civic & Policy Design team at UHasselt is working with the Project Office to ensure the Einstein Telescope project is both widely supported and sustainable. Through participatory design, we engage residents, municipalities and other stakeholders to map risks and opportunities, and explore ways to enhance the sustainability of the project and the quality of life in the surrounding villages. We organise interviews and workshops among others to build trust, foster engagement and co-create input for the bid book. Architecture students are also involved through future explorations and design research. By actively involving local communities, we aim to turn the Einstein Telescope into a catalyst for positive change in the region.
