REsearch of Brain Computer Interface (BCI) optimizations for neurorehabilitation

Brain Computer Itnerfaces can help people with severe motor disabilities to restore communication and control to a certain extent. Current systems have trouble with the high inter-subject variability. By using ICA, extended with spatial information of the elctrodes, it is possible to implement a robust BCI. Aside of the technical realization we will look at the influence of BCI usage on changing brain patterns due to plasticity.
