Project

Resilience and recovery of meiofaunal communities in different anthropologically induced disturbance scenarios.

This PhD research deals with different aspects of anthropogenic disturbance of marine benthic ecosystems. On the one hand it targets ecological aspects of ocean acidification resulting from carbon sequestration in a mesocosm multi species experiment. And on the other hand different aspects of potential impacts of deep-sea mining on the benthic meiofauna are investigated by in-situ and laboratory experiments.
