Sport for all? A comparative-sociological analysis of active sport participation in the European Union.

In this research, we verify whether (1) sport participation and the social stratification of sport participation differs for EU-countries (2) these cross-country differences can be ascribed to socio-economical country characteristics (3) despite these country characteristics, there are structural differences that can be ascribed to systematic differences in welfare policy.
