Project

Study of the influence of formulation and process parameters on the physical structure of solid dispersions prepared by spray drying.

Solid dispersions made up of a drug (small organic molecule) and a hydrophilic polymer are prepared by spray drying. The influence of spray drying processing parameters and formulation factors on the degree and level of drug dispersion are being studied. Solid state characterization techniques like MDSC, XRD, solid state NMR and FTIR are used.
