Towards a non-essentialist understanding of social change. How citizen platforms affiliated with the 15M movement are transforming urban space in Spain

Since the local elections in 2015, citizen platforms affiliated with 15M are actually governing in many big cities and hundreds of towns throughout Spain. With this project, I will investigate how these citizen platforms intervene in the production of urban space (in Madrid and Barcelona) to challenge dominant political-economic configurations and implement alternative political projects.
