Project

Understanding between- and within-individual differences in borderline personality pathology in adolescence.

The proposal will use a longitudinal twin-and sibling design to unravel genetic versus environmental underlying factors of borderline personality pathology (BPD) within a spectrum framework. Moreover, the use of an experience sampling design in population and BPD-referred adolescents will enable us to better differentiate between BPD symptomatology and normative adolescent turmoil, with special attention to situational triggers of these fluctuations.
