What is the influence of impaired somatosensory function on motor control and learning? A multimodal approach.

In this project research will be performed on the role of somatosensory function in motor control by behavioral experiments on healthy volunteers and patients and by medical imaging techniques. Novel techniques will be developed to evaluate somatosensory function in healthy volunteers by means of electro-encephalography (EEG). Furthermore, the effects of chemotherapy on somatosensory function and the consequences thereof on motor control will be studied.
