"You've been defriended": The influence of social media on self- esteem (in)stability and depression vulnerability
Given the growing popularity of social networking sites, it is important to comprehend the psychological Consequences of their use. Therefore, we investigate the reciprocal relationship between Facebook use and self esteem instability in relation to vulnerability for depression. By means of correlational, prospective and experimental research we aim to develop a theoretical framework to map the underlying processes and mechanisms.
