Cores, ribbons, scattered buildings in Flanders, status 2013-2016-2019-2022. Morphological classification of buildings in Flanders - Technical description.

This technical report describes the results of the update of the division of the Flemish territory into 'cores, ribbons and scattered buildings' as initially elaborated in the Spatial Report 2018 and updated in the Spatial Report 2021 published by the Department of the Environment and Spatial Development. The objective of this report is threefold: (1) to further improve the method developed and applied in the context of Spatial Report 2018 and Spatial Report 2021, (2) to
apply the adjusted method to map the situation in 2013, 2016 and 2019 (recalculated) and the situation in 2022, (3) to describe the evolution of the centres, ribbons and scattered buildings in Flanders for the period 2013-2022.
