Jade Thomas

    Jade Thomas holds an MA in English and German Literature from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She is the recipient of both the BAAHE Thesis Prize, and the Multilingual Master Award for Literary Studies for her MA thesis on the posthumanist dimensions in the theater of American playwright Sam Shepard. As of November 2021, she is a fellow of the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) affiliated to VUB. Her PhD project is called “Representing Blackness: Metatheater and Genre Remediation in 21st-Century African American Plays” and scrutinizes playtexts by Jackie Sibblies Drury, Jeremy O. Harris, Aleshea Harris, and Michael R. Jackson.
