  • Research Expertise:

I have earned my Master degree in infection biology by Uppsala University, Sweden. The master project was performed in Prof. Göran Akusjärvi’s lab group in the title of “Exploration of Zinc finger CCCH domain-containing protein 11A’s role in mammalian cell NFkB Pathway”, which was focused on virus-host interaction and the complexity of cell pathways. It has enabled me to explore a disease related protein’s role in cell pathway network with a structured molecular biological approach. The lab skills of molecular biology of this project combined with the skills of animal testing and pharmacological study of a preclinical trial in my bachelor (Pharmacy/Pharmacology-China Pharmaceutical University) project have made me a strong candidate for future biomedical studies.

Recently, I am recruited by DohART-NET Periconceptional Programming of Health Training Network and awarded a EU Marie Skolodowska-Curie actions PhD fellowship. Under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Martine De Rycke, the new project is performed at Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (UZ Brussel) affiliated with Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

Research Focus: Evaluation of the influence of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) on the human epigenome (Epigenetic safety) to reveal if and to which extend ART factors contribute to epigenetic changes in ART children.
