  • Research Expertise:Molecular imaging using PET and SPECT. PET stands for Positron Emission Tomography and SPECT for Single Photon Emission Tomography. It allows for 3D in vivo imaging of functional processes in vivo in humans or small laboratory animals. Hereby radiotracers are used. In humans this is called nuclear medicine. Applied in pathologies: Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, addiction, OCD,... Therapie for modd idsorders: neuromodulation, deep brain stimulation (DBS) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)
