  • Research Expertise:My research interests are in the broad area of Real Estate Economics and Finance. A common theme in my research is that I evaluate how housing policies affect households and housing market outcomes. In addition, I study price formation in the housing market.
  • Keywords:HOUSEHOLD FINANCE, HOUSING, REAL ESTATE, Economics and applied economics
  • Disciplines:Financial economics, Applied economics not elsewhere classified
  • Research techniques:In my research I use econometric methodologies to estimate the causal effect of certain policies that are often described as "program evaluation". The main econometric techniques that I use are difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, instrumental variables, panel data and bunching analysis. In short, I use these techniques to compare the outcomes of houses or households that are affected by a policy with comparable houses or households that are unaffected by the policy. I also have experience with time series analysis (cointegration tests among others).
  • Users of research expertise:Potential users of my research include policy makers, national banks, companies in the real estate sector, journalists and other researchers.
