Homotopy Transfer and Effective Field Theory I: Tree‐level Vrije Universiteit Brussel
We use the dictionary between general field theories and strongly homotopy algebras to provide an algebraic formulation of the procedure of integrating out of degrees of freedom in terms of homotopy transfer. This includes more general effective theories in which some massive modes are kept while other modes of a comparable mass scale are integrated out, as first explored by Sen in the context of closed string field theory. We treat (Formula ...
Homotopy Transfer and Effective Field Theory II: Strings and Double Field Theory Vrije Universiteit Brussel
We continue our study of effective field theory via homotopy transfer of (Formula presented.) -algebras, and apply it to tree-level non-Wilsonian effective actions of the kind discussed by Sen in which the modes integrated out are comparable in mass to the modes that are kept. We focus on the construction of effective actions for string states at fixed levels and in particular on the construction of weakly constrained double field theory. ...

Fragmentation of jets containing a prompt J/ψ meson in PbPb and pp collisions at s NN =5.02TeV Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Jets containing a prompt J/ψ meson are studied in lead-lead collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV, using the CMS detector at the LHC. Jets are selected to be in the transverse momentum range of 30
T<40GeV. The J/ψ yield in these jets is evaluated as a function of the jet fragmentation variable z, the ratio of the J/ψ p T to the jet p T. The nuclear modification factor, R ...

Evidence for X(3872) in Pb-Pb Collisions and Studies of its Prompt Production at sNN =5.02 TeV Vrije Universiteit Brussel University of Antwerp
The first evidence for X(3872) production in relativistic heavy ion collisions is reported. The X(3872) production is studied in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions at a center-of-mass energy of sNN=5.02 TeV per nucleon pair, using the decay chain X(3872)→J/ψπ+π-→μ+μ-π+π-. The data were recorded with the CMS detector in 2018 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 nb-1. The measurement is performed in the rapidity and transverse momentum ...
