For this we selected multiple meta-analysis using the following query string: soil AND meta-analysis NOT forest NOT urban AND (management OR tillage OR cropping OR crops OR crop OR (cover and crops) OR (catch and crop) OR residue OR residues OR fertilizer OR manure OR amendment OR liming OR compost OR traffic OR biochar OR irrigation OR intercropping OR agroforestry) AND (hydraulic conductivity OR water retention OR available water OR runoff OR ...
SODA Survey: A survey of the needs and practices of Belgian researchers in social sciences in terms of research data management Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Benjamin Peuch, Jean-Paul Sanderson, Rolande Depoortere, Freya De Schamphelaere, Samira Hajji, Aziz Naji
This dataset contains the files related to a survey investigating the needs and practices of Belgian social science researchers in terms of research data management. The survey took place within the framework of the Social Sciences Data Archive (SODA) project, which aims to set up a data archive for social sciences that will also act as a CESSDA (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives) service provider in Belgium. Wild Boar in Flanders, Belgium: (Dis)agreements Between Key Stakeholders on Wild Boar Management Objectives, Actions, and Legal Provisions Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food

Wild boar (Sus scrofa) reappeared in Flanders, Belgium in 2006 after more than half a century of absence. Besides being a native and highly valued game species in Europe, wild boar are also known to be responsible for car collisions, crop damage, disease transmission, and ecological damage at high densities. The management of wild boar therefore seeks to balance these positive and negative impacts. Given the highly fragmented landscape in Flanders and its multifunctional use, coexistence with wild boar is only possible through integrated management involving relevant stakeholder groups. ...

1. Although organic farming was originally promoted as an alternative farming system to address agronomic, environmental, and ecological issues, its conventionalisation has led to an intensification and specialisation of production. In light of this, several studies have questioned the environmental benefits of organic farming as well as its agronomic viability. Thus, there is a need to improve organic vegetable systems to reduce their environmental impact without affecting their productivity. To tackle this challenge, European farmers and researchers have recently started to focus on ...
Openaire And Fair Data Expert Group Survey About Horizon 2020 Template For Data Management Plans Ghent University
Marjan Grootveld, Ellen Leenarts, Sarah Jones, Emilie Hermans, Eliane Fankhauser
This dataset is published in 2017 by the OpenAIRE project and the FAIR Data Expert Group. It contains two survey data files, two pdf-files summarising the results in a report and an infographic, and a Readme.txt file. The OpenAIRE project supports the open science ambitions of the European Commission. The project and in particular the Research Data Management team provide support, training and information on the Open Research Data Pilot. In this context, a survey was carried out to collect feedback on the Horizon 2020 template for Data Management Plans (DMPs). The team collaborated with the ...

Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) was used to identify, screen, and score response options (ROs) to select 15 ROs to describe briefly in the chapter and further select a subset of five ROs to describe in depth. Multi-criteria decision analysis is a non-monetary valuation method for simultaneously embracing, combining and structuring often incommensurable diversity: diversity of information (e.g., qualitative and quantitative data, as well as uncertainty), diversity of opinion (also among experts), diversity in actor perspectives (stakes), and diversity in assessment/decision-making ...
