Design and Control Optimisation of PV-Battery Systems for Flexibility KU Leuven
Photovoltaic systems are more and more equipped with battery systems. The correct design thereof and the choice and sizing of the power electronic converters yield a complex optimization problem. Goal is to optimize over the entire lifetime of the installation and use this outcome to derive the optimal charge control strategy. Using machine learning techniques, this can be used to derive an actual controller for the installation.
