Pathology Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Department of Imaging & Pathology KU Leuven
The Department of Imaging & Pathology conducts bidirectional research in imaging and pathology, with an aim to translate these new insights into better diagnostic and therapeutic applications with a definite social and economical endpoint. Major areas of research are: Multimodal morphological, functional and molecular cardiac imaging and neuro-imaging - Cell tracking and stem cell imaging - Total body imaging in oncology - Radiotracer ...
Imaging & Pathology, Kulak Kortrijk Campus KU Leuven
Our research is aimed at better understanding of the VWF/ADAMTS13/platelet axis in hemostatic, thrombotic and inflammatory processes. We use various in vivo models, combined with intravital microscopy to study molecular and cellular interactions. In particular, we focus on designing novel therapeutic strategies that interfere with von Willebrand factor function for treatment of thrombo-inflammatory disease.

This objective is addressed through projects that integrate basic research, preclinical development and clinical trials, and benefit from a multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of cell biology and pathology, animal models of disease and therapy, clinical biology and diabetology. A Functional Cytomics Core BioBank stores human ...
Experimental Pathology Vrije Universiteit Brussel
The EXPA research group brings together the clinical-pathological expertise of Prof. Ramses Forsyth and the more fundamental histopathologically oriented expertise of Prof. Peter in't Veld, thereby restoring the traditional interaction between a clinical UZ department and the Faculty in this (translational) biomedical research important domain. It will serve not only as a core facility for histopathology, but also as a platform for developing ...
