This research explores the "commons" framework as a potential alternative to the prevailing neoliberal hegemony in education that excludes vulnerable youth. We explore its potential in current secondary education through two case studies. Through observations, interviews, focus groups and the implementation of two "commons" projects, we engage school boards, teachers, parents and students to identify barriers and opportunities.

In an exploratory research project it will be investigated which contents children and young people with a disabilit are offered with regard to Relational-Sexual education in Flemish schools for special secondary education.

All Flemish BUSO schools are invited to participate. 

Examples of good practice and of contents that need to be improved will be presented.

This research focuses on providing insight into the implementation processes of differentiation in the pilot projects in Flemish schools (Liège 1).
