This project fits within the research into the possibly universal polysemy of perception verbs, but concentrates especially on a very complex but neglected element. More particularly, the project aims at the systematic analysis of the semantic and syntactic characteristics of sentir in Spanish and in comparative perspective with other Romance languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan).
In this project a method for enterprise architcture of small and medium sized enterprises is designed. The CHOOSE method comprises a simple modeling language, guidelines for using the language, and a set of software applications to build and manage CHOOSE models.
One of the major functions of language is to convey information between speakers and hearers. Speakers have several linguistic means at their disposal to structure the information they want to communicate, e.g. active (Nous avons pris la décision) vs passive sentences (La décision a été prise) refer to the same referential content but the way in which the information is structured differs.
