The impact of climate change on the durability of wall constructions Ghent University
For new buildings, renovation, as well as conservation of heritage buildings, hygrothermal simulations may predict the durability of façade constructions. The predominant damage phenomena include frost damage, corrosion, and wood decay, and are mainly affected by temperature, relative humidity and wind driven rain. This project aims to assess the impact of climate change on durability, and develop a simulation protocol.
