Field emission gun electron microprobe for quantitative submicron chemical and phase analysis of multicomponent materials. KU Leuven
Field emission gun electron microprobe for quantitative submicron chemical and phase analysis of multicomponent materials. Ghent University
In an electron microprobe analysis (EPMA) system a finely focusable electron beam irradiates the sample and from the interaction volume characteristic X-rays are emitted that are detected by energy and wevelength dispersive spectrometers. With the system the concentration of elements from B to U can be accurately measured to low (ppm) levels in complex multicomponent materials. EPMA is therefore one of the essential micro-analysis techniques ...

Bayesian Active Learning for EMI Near-Field Emission Characterization of High-Speed Electronics Ghent University
The “Internet-of-Things”, “Industry 5.0”, “Smart Cities”, and “Autonomous Vehicles” will bring huge benefits to society. As these technologies become more widely adopted, we will be surrounded by electronic devices that are wirelessly connected. Our lives will become increasingly dependent on the correct functioning of these very complex electronic devices. But, as these devices shrink, take on more functionalities, and are squeezed closer ...

Near-field measurement techniques for the efficient solving EMC emission Problem Ghent University
This project aims to develop, implement, test and demonstrate an industrially useful workflow based on various near-field measurement techniques to find the root cause of EMC emissions problem efficiently and cost-effectively solve. It will also examine and indicate how near-field techniques can be used to test prototypes early in the design process or (sub) modules and characterize to avoid later problems of EMC, signal and power ...
Organic light emitting diodes with lateral emission in electrode-free waveguides Ghent University
Organic light emitting devices are bright and efficient but the conductive electrodes absorb all waveguided light. In this project we will realize narrow OLEDs with lateral electrode and hole transport in order to separate the conductive electrodes from the light emitting recombination region.
The light will be captured in a waveguide to reach large intensities and possibly lasing.

(N2 and N3 type). However, in parallel to that, the recent European climate goals bring challenges for the transport sector. Given the
fact that the typical vehicle development cycles can be of 5-7 years, an immediate collective and collaborative action from the
