Development of geotechnical discrete element calculations on GPU Ghent University
Developments in the graphical cards for computers (GPU) have led to a calculation power in these cards that significantly exceeds the calculation power of the central processing unit (CPU). This project aims to utilize this power to perform geotechnical calculations using discrete elements by adapting existing software originally developed for the gaming industry.
Fault Tolerant RISC-V CPU in Advanced CMOS Nodes KU Leuven
1. State of the art and problem-setting Modern microprocessors used in radiation harsh environments are becoming more vulnerable to transient faults which can lead to errors in critical data and control paths of digital designs. In addition, because further decreased geometries, integrated circuits are becoming more susceptible to soft errors and radiation inference, hence resulting in reduced reliability. Several redundancy techniques are ...

REMEDI: GPs' REcommendations to patients with MEntal health problems and DIverse migration backgrounds Ghent University
Along with the tremendous increase in ethnic diversity in European societies, equity of care for people with a migration background has become a major policy goal. However, recent figures reveal that there is still a long way to go in this respect. One worrying finding is that people with a migration background are underrepresented or even absent from ambulant and residential mental healthcare services, despite the higher prevalence of ...
Substitution of natural rubber with TPU for NVH application KU Leuven
Natural rubber (nonrecyclable CRM) used in vehicles suspension systems for antivibration components requires an alternative solution to improve Noise, Vibration an Harshness (NVH) performance, to fulfil new specification for hybrid and electrical vehicles (HEV and EV). GREENNVH will develop this based on TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) materials.
Tracking movements and activities of the Walloons by GPS Ghent University
Qualitative study of tide measurements based on GPS Ghent University
In this project, a new type of buoy is used for the measurement of tides on the U+2018Belgian Continental ShelfU+2019 based on GPS observations. Furthermore, the quality and usability of these tide measurements with GPS are discussed, based on the required criteria.
Training for GPs and pharmacists for first line treatment of anxiety, stress and instead taking benzodiazepines here Ghent University
20 duo’s GPs psychologist are formed to give training sessions in each belgium province. The goal is to train 600 GPs in Belgium in the management of problems of stress, anxiety and insomnia with particular focus on non-pharmacological alternatives.
