This project aims at determining whether there is diatopic variation and a geographic spread in the grammaticalization of the Old Ibero-Romance future and conditional paradigms and assessing the role of language and dialect contact in grammatical change across the Ibero-Romance languages. This is done by means of an extensive corpus study and both quantitative and qualitative analyses.
